Welcome to the Perry Removals of Ely website. This website has been designed to help you through the process of moving home with information not only on the removal itself but on other pre and post removal day issues.
With a population in 2001 of only 15-16000 Ely, is the third smallest city in the UK; and it’s Royal Charter was granted as recently as 1974. Straddling the Great River Ouse Ely derives it’s name from the “Eels” the congregated in the marshy fens that surround the city. These fens lead to the majestic cathedral being known as “The Ship of the Fens” because it is visible for miles across the low lying flat wetlands that surround Ely. The Cambridge University rowing team have a boathouse in the city, which led to the pre-war annual Boat Race being held on the Great Ouse. This is the only time the famous Oxford/Cambridge boat race has been held outside London.
Perry Removals have carried out numerous removals to and from the Ely area including period properties in the old city and many from the new developments that surround it.
